“Art can change anything”, from this point El Gouna Film Festival organized special CineGouna platform panel ‘Cinema as an Agent for Social Change’ on October 17.

The panel houses directors Ali El Araby (Captains of Za'atari) and Zeina Daccache (The Blue Inmates), and Suba Umathevan, CEO of NGO Drosos Foundation.

The panel discussed the true power of cinema and filmmaking’s role in shining a light on the stories that might otherwise go under the radar.

Moderated by Mariam Farag, founder of Humanizing Brands, the panel also featured Hovig Etyemezian, Head of UNHCR’s Innovation Service, bringing together an eclectic panel from both sides of an equation that GFF is keen to shine a light on.
