16th Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Book Fair launches on August 16

CAIRO – 15 August 2021: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has completed the preparations for the launch of its16th  book fair, scheduled to be held from August 16 to August 30.

The book fair will be held in cooperation with the General Egyptian Book Organization and the Egyptian and Arab Publishers Associations.

Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mostafa El-Feki said that the exhibition includes about 65 Egyptian and Arab publishing houses, and that there are many cultural activities that are set to be held on the sidelines of the exhibition via the internet through the Bibliotheca Alexandrina webinar.

The events will be broadcast live in all embassies of knowledge in all governorates, and through the Bibliotheca Alexandrina e- platforms.

El-Feki stressed that the library is keen on the participation of the artists of Alexandria in the cultural exhibition program, as they have received wide-spread acclaim in the cultural arena recently and have been awarded numerous Egyptian and international awards.

According to El-Feki, the library made sure that the cultural activities presented by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina tackled the various fields concerning children, women, youth, technology, arts and literature.
