Egypt’s AIWFF presents ‘Changing the Perception on Women’s Economic Role in Egyptian Media’ workshop

 

The media plays a crucial role in embodying, reinforcing and even creating social attitudes, behaviors and norms related to gender.

 

The worksho addressed the unhealthy stereotypes and societal norms that impede women's economic participation and negatively affect their role in society, discussing the challenges faced by Egyptian women in the media from a stereotypical perspective resulting from the common knowledge between men and women in the field of work.

 

 

 

It also presented some positive solutions that can help ascendants in the field to create content to avoid the stereotypical bias of the role of men and women in the Egyptian media.
