CAIRO - 25 June 2021: Marking its world premiere, short film “When the Sea was Blue” by director Amr Elseyoufi will screen at Aswan International Women Film Festival, within its Short Program 1, on June 26 at 11:00 AM at the Cinema Hall.
 
 
The film will rerun on June 27 at 4:30 PM at Ikhnaton Hall, Helnan Cinema.

The short movie revovles around Mariam is a woman in her forties who feels burdened by the daily routine and boredom.
 
The over-use of technology by people surrounding her puts a barrier in-between her and everyone else.
 
One day she decides to break the dullness taking the boldest decision in her life.

Directed by Amr Elseyoufi, the film features screenwriter Mohamed Zayed, and costume designer Reem El Adl.
 
It stars Heba Abdelghany, Mahmoud Hamdi, Nicole Iskander, and Adam Zayed.
