CAIRO - 15 June 2021: Egyptian star Ashraf Abdel Baky will present ‘Crime In Maadi’ play for the 1st time in North Coast.
Abdel Baky previously displayed his play "Crime in Maadi" in Saudi Arabia for three days.
The Play is originally an English comedic novel entitled "The Play that Goes Wrong" and Abdel Baky acquired the legal rights to perform in Egypt in a customized manner to suit the local attire.
The play also staged in numerous countries such as Germany, Argentina and London.
"The Play that Goes Wrong" is written by Henry Lewis, Henry Shields and Jonathan Sayer.
The Egyptian version of the play is starring numerous young talents directed and trained by the veteran comedian Abdel Baky.

It won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards.
Abdel Baky previously expressed his extreme happiness with the theatrical experience he has gone through in Saudi Arabia which is ‘’ Saudi Theater’’, which follows the footsteps of his original experience in Egypt titled “Masrah Masr” (Egypt’s Theater).
Abdel Baky stated in a video he previously uploaded on his official Instagram account that he enjoyed himself in the Saudi Theater in Jeddah with a group of very talented young actors.

Abdel Baky has selected a group of 40 young actors and actresses and trained them; he also put the final artistic touches on the new theater's performances.
Abdel Baky was graduated from Ain Shams University's Faculty of Commerce, later deciding to pursue a drama career despite his parent's dislike for acting.
Abdel Baki acted in about 54 films, 16 soap operas, and 14 plays, with the play “Khashab El-Ward” (Flower Wood) being his first role on stage.
