CAIRO - 8 May 2021: Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs visits South Sinai governorate to follow up on the progress of vaccination of workers in the tourism sector against Coronavirus and inspect the readiness of hotel and tourism facilities to receive the summer tourist season.
 
During her current visit to Sharm el-Sheikh, Mrs. Ghada Shalaby, Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, conducted a number of inspection tours to follow up on the progress of vaccinations of tourism workers with vaccines against the new Corona virus, where she inspected a number of temporary vaccination centers located in hotels dedicated to vaccinating workers in the tourism sector in the governorate, in addition to inspecting a number of tourist and hotel facilities to ensure their readiness to receive the summer tourist season.
 
She was accompanied during the tour by Engineer Inas Samir, Vice Governor of South Sinai, Dr. Ayman Rakha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population, and Professor Mohammed Hajjaj, Director General of the General Directorate of Hotel Facilities Licensing at the Central Department of Hotel Facilities, Shops and Tourism Activities at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and a number of representatives of the Ministry's Office in sharm Al-Sheikh.
 
The Vice Minister praised the effort sought by medical teams in vaccinating workers in the tourism sector, noting that vaccinations in the Red Sea and South Sinai governorates are in full swing, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population, and hotel rooms in the two governorates, stressing that the vaccination of all workers in the sector in the two governorates will be completed soon, especially in light of the Egyptian state's follow-up to all precautionary measures, and to send a message of reassurance to tourists in the safety of the Egyptian tourist destination and maintenance of the safety of workers in the sector, citizens and tourists.
 
During the visit, the vice Minister received the coronavirus vaccine at a medical center dedicated to vaccinating workers in the sector, and urged workers to speed up vaccination for their safety and the safety of the Egyptian tourist destination.
 
Mrs. Ghada Shalaby discussed with the vice Governor of South Sinai the readiness of tourist and hotel facilities in Sharm el-Sheikh to receive tourists for the summer season, and inspected some of these facilities to check the quality of tourism services provided and the extent of their commitment to the planned health safety controls.
 
Since early April, the Egyptian state has launched a vaccination campaign for all tourism workers against the new Coronavirus, which has begun vaccinating workers in south Sinai and the Red Sea governorates.
