800 tickets sold on the 1st day of opening National Museum of Egyptian Civilization’s main hall

CAIRO - 5 April 2021: After the opening of the central display hall in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and the reception of the royal mummies, a large number of people visited the museum, the number reached 800 visitors in addition to 400 representatives of Egyptian and international news agencies, newspapers and TV channels from America, Germany, France, China, Japan, England and Russia, to visit  to photograph the central exhibition hall and the Ain Al Sira lake, which the museum has a view, while adhering to all precautionary measures and health safety controls applied in museums.
 
 Mrs. Fayrouz Fikry, Executive Vice President of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization Authority for Management and Operations, indicated that 600 tickets were also sold online through the website launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities last Wednesday, as part of its plan to facilitate the process of reserving entry tickets of the museum for visitors.
 
 The price of a visitor’s ticket for an Egyptian is 60 pounds, an Egyptian student is 30 pounds, a foreign visitor is 200 pounds, and a foreign student is 100 pounds.
 
 The museum open hours start from 9 am until 5 pm, in addition to the evening period on Friday from 6 pm until 9 pm.
 
 It is worth noting that the museum’s board of directors had agreed to grant a 50% discount on the ticket price to Egyptians and foreigners for a period of two weeks, starting from April 4 to the 17th, to visit the main exhibition hall, in addition to allowing representatives of the Egyptian, Arab and international media to photograph the exhibits for free inside the mail exhibition hall on April 4th and 5th
