CAIRO – 3 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly declined against the Egyptian pound in Monday banking transactions for the first time in four months.

Dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 18.038 and sold at LE 18.138, down from LE 18.043 for selling and LE 18.142 for buying Sunday.

At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar exchange stood at LE 17.90 for buying and LE 18 for selling, down from normal average of LE 18.05 for buying and LE 18.15.

Egypt’s largest state-owned bank the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) marked a U.S. dollar exchange rate of LE 17.89 for buying and LE 17.99 for selling, down from LE 17.95 for buying and LE 18.05 for selling Sunday.

Other banks, such as Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, Suez Canal Bank, Arab African International Bank (AAIB), Baraka Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and BLOM Bank, at LE 17.95 for buying and LE 18.05 for selling.
