CAIRO – 20 January 2021: President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi said Wednesday that 2020 was full of difficult challenges and negative repercussions resulting from COVID-19 crisis which has changed the world.

 

“Despite these difficulties, the crisis has shown an important opportunity to promote digital transformation and develop sustainable development policies that include social, economic and environmental dimensions, thus contributing to achieving a comprehensive recovery as soon as possible,” Sisi pointed.

 

This came during Sisi’s televised speech to the World Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.

 

Sisi expressed Egypt's deep appreciation for OECD's prominent role on the bilateral level, along with its contributions to formulating economic policies at the international level.
