CAIRO - 10 December 2020: Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed said that there are governmental investment worth LE 47 billion during the fiscal 2020/2021 for the Upper Egyptian governorates.


The amount represents 25 percent of the total governmental investment distributed and represents 50 percent of 2019/2020 plan, she said.
 

In a statement of the Ministry of Planning on Thursday, Saeed asserted that the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 2020/2021 gives great importance to the Upper Egyptian governorates to reach tangible development, a matter that led to the improvement of the quality of life and provided suitable living conditions.
 

Investments estimated at LE 5.8 billion were directed to the program of local development in the Upper Egyptian governorates of Qena and Sohag, she said.
