TANTA, Egypt - 17 August 2020: Minister of Supply Ali Moselhi, Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram, Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy Monday inspected work at the site of the under-construction “Downtown Delta” project.

The ministers got firsthand information about the second phase of the project to establish a trade and logistics zone in the Delta city of Tanta.

“Downtown Delta” should be the first and biggest trade and logistics zone in Egypt.

The project is being implemented by the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) in cooperation with Vernbro Global Investment over 83 feddans, and is estimated to cost more than six billion pounds.

“Downtown Delta” is located in the middle of 10 cities in the Central Delta region and should serve about 42 million people and create more than 50,000 jobs for youth.
