CAIRO - 14 July 2020: Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamae said Tuesday that the Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) is outlining an urgent plan to upgrade small projects in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Gamae, who doubles as CEO of MSMEDA, said in a statement that meetings are being held with governors and leaders of bodies concerned to get to know needs and problems, if any, youth are facing to establish their small projects.

The meetings also tackle the different investment opportunities in each governorate so that youth could benefit from them, she added.

The MSMEDA works with the different state institutions to provide financial, technical, training and marketing support for the SMEs sector to face consequences of the pandemic, the minister further said.

Those projects, according to Gamae, are one of the most important mechanisms adopted by the State with the aim to achieve comprehensive economic and social development, create jobs for youth and ensure a decent life for citizens.
