CAIRO – 24 June 2017: Singapore is looking forward to boosting investment in Suez Canal Axis Development project, especially in the transport and ports sectors, Singapore ambassador in Cairo Premjith Sadasivan said Saturday.

Singapore can help Egypt benefit from its experience in technology and maritime transport through exchanging expertise, Sadasivan said during a meeting with Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr.

Sadasivan also highlighted the possibility of Egyptian-Singaporean cooperation in the fields of fishing, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and renewable energy, according to a statement from the Ministry of Investment.

Targeting increasing Singaporean investments in Egypt, Nasr presented the available investment opportunities, including the anticipated New Administrative Capital project.
Nasr is scheduled to visit Singapore to learn about its experience in luring foreign investment, planning to meet Singaporean companies.
