CAIRO – 23 February 2020: Egypt’s industrial production index for transformative and extractive industries, excluding crude oil and petroleum products, increased 1.3 percent, recording LE 131.2 (primary) during November 2019, compared to LE 131.2 (final) during October 2019, the state's statistics body said.

The index for the manufacture of non-metallic minerals products (bricks - glass - cement) reached 114.86 during November 2019 compared to 93.66 in October 2019, marking an increase of 22.6 percent, due to the increase in sales.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) added that the coke industry index reached 6.69 during November, compared to 12.43 in October, marking a decrease of 46.2 percent, due to the annual pilgrimage of some companies for a period of 20 days.

Meanwhile, the index for the manufacture of machinery and equipment not classified elsewhere was 213.14 during November, compared to 239.17 in October, a decrease of 10.9 percent, due to the decrease in export sales.
