CAIRO/KUWAIT - 20 February 2020: Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah appreciated on Thursday the leadership of Egypt, government and people, praising Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations in the various domains.

In a meeting with Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat, the Kuwaiti prime minister expressed his country's keenness on developing relations between the two countries, lauding the economic reform Egypt is carrying out under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Kuwaiti prime minister welcomed Mashat, currently on an official visit to Kuwait, and asked her to convey his greetings to president Sisi. Mashat, for her part, thanked Kuwait for its support to Egypt's economic reform program and financing a number of Kuwaiti projects in Egypt, especially in Sinai, through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

The two sides discussed means to deepen bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Arab financing institutions based in Kuwait such as KFAED and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

Minister Mashat held a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and KFAED manager Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al Sabah on bilateral relations, issues of mutual concern and projects carried in Egypt by KFAED.
