EGX announces Christmas holiday

CAIRO – 5 January 2020: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced that trading on the bourse will be off on Tuesday January 7, 2020, on the occasion of Christmas.

EGX added Sunday that trading will be resumed on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli decided that next Tuesday, January 7, 2020, will be a paid official vacation.

Moreover, the Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, announced that January 7, 2020, will be a holiday for private sector workers, on the occasion of Christmas.

EGX last official holiday was on Wednesday 1st of January 2020, due to to the banks' holiday.
