CAIRO - 30 December 2019: The Ministry of Trade and Industry said that the Commercial Representation Service's offices across the world contributed to providing 1,143 export opportunities worth nearly $565.5 million in 2019.

The ministry detailed in a statement on Monday that the exported items included vegetables, fresh fruit, processed foodstuffs and paper products, glass, marble and chemicals, among others.

The offices also contributed to clinching export deals to the tune of $113.5-million and preparing 2,404 marketing studies and reports, in addition to securing investment opportunities worth nearly $1.9 billion in different fields, the statement said.

It added that the service floated 412 international tenders abroad, made arrangements for 692 official and commercial visits and was responsible for organizing 131 trade exhibitions at home and abroad.
