Dollar exchange rate continues to depreciate against pound at major Egyptian banks

CAIRO - 17 December 2019: The US dollar exchange rate dropped to less than 16 pounds during Tuesday's transactions at a number of major banks in Egypt.

The dollar rate has dropped by more than LE 1.85 since the start of 2019.

At the National Bank of Egypt, the Arab African International Bank and Banque Misr, the dollar rate declined one piaster, recording LE 15.99 for buying and LE 16.09 for selling.

The dollar rate also decreased three piasters at the Commercial International Bank, registering LE 15.97 for buying and LE 16.07 for selling.

At the National Bank of Greece and Suez Canal Bank, the dollar price also went down three piasters, registering LE 15.97 for buying and LE 16.07 for selling.

The dollar rate remained stable at LE 15.98 for buying and LE 16.08 for selling at the United Bank.
