CAIRO - 12 December 2019: Head of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Magdy Ghazi discussed in a meeting with Secretary General of the UAE International Investors Council (UAEIIC) Jamal Saif al Jarwan industrial investment opportunities in Egypt.

This came on the sidelines of the Cairo-hosted 1st Egypt-UAE forum for trade and investment.

In a statement on Thursday, Ghazi said that the meeting shed light on the economic and legislative reforms applied in Egypt to improve the business environment and encourage more Arab and foreign investments in the manufacturing sector.

The meeting also took up Egypt's list of industrial investment priorities, Ghazi said.

He asserted opening permanent communication channels with the UAEIIC to immediately solve any hindrances facing the UAE projects in Egypt, noting that the UAE is a major investor in the Egyptian market.

Meanwhile, Jarwan lauded the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government and the IDA to remove any hindrances facing the UAE investments in Egypt and the attractive investment atmosphere which Egypt enjoys.
