CAIRO, Nov 5 (MENA) – Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr on Tuesday inaugurated the 12th Kuwaiti Week in Egypt, in the presence of the ministers of military production and immigration, as well as the Kuwaiti ambassador in Cairo.

The event is held under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madboli and attended by more than 80 Egyptian and Kuwaiti public and private bodies, along with representatives of a number of joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti companies and banks.

In her opening speech, the investment minister called on Kuwaiti businesses to inject further investments in Egypt, lauding the volume of Kuwaiti investments, which stands at USD 5.1 billion.

Addressing the gathering, the Kuwaiti ambassador said the week’s activities provide a great opportunity to exchange views between the two countries' public and private sectors and probe means of boosting cooperation in the areas of investment, trade and culture.

Moreover, the chairman of Al Jabri Group for exhibitions commended the investment climate in Egypt, which saw the introducing of several legislation that aim to lure more foreign investments.

He added that the week is meant to review investment opportunities available to Kuwaiti companies in different fields in Egypt.
