EGX ends Sunday on mixed note amid Arab individuals purchases

CAIRO - 27 October 2019: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday's session on mixed note, adding LE 688.52 millionto market capitalization, amid arab individuals purchases.

The benchmark EGX 30 rose 0.22 percent, or 30.72 point, to close at 14,237.39 points.

The equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 0.58 percent, or 11.86 points, to end at 2,052.34 points, , and the broader index EGX 100 jumped 0.06 percent, or 0.91 points, to 1,407.41 points.


On the other hand, he small and mid-cap index EGX 70 inched down 0.04 percent, or 0.19 points, to close at 530.69 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 688.52million, recording LE 714.32 billion, compared to LE 713.63 billion in Thursday's session.

The trading volume reached 184.98 million shares, traded through 16,735 transactions, with a turnover of LE 381.25 million.

Arab investors were net buyers at LE 10.41 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 2.83 million, and LE 7.58 million, respectively.

Egyptian and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 13.78 million, and LE 2.43 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 13.37 million.

Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 2.96 million, and LE 5.15 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 10.95 million.

Pyramisa Hotels, El Nasr for Manufacturing Agricultural Crops, and Arab Moltaka Investments Co. were top gainers of the session by 9.99 percent, 8.60 percent and 5.72 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, The Egyptian Company for Construction Development-Lift Slab, Mohandes Insurance, and AJWA for Food Industries company Egyptwere top losers of the session by 4.31 percent, 3.22 percent, and 2.94 percent, respectively.

EGX ended Thursday's session in green, as EGX 30 rose 0.57 percent, EGX 50 increased0.74 percent, EGX70 hiked0.40 percent, and EGX 100 jumped 0.45 percent.
