AOI, Rohde & Schwarz mull cooperation in manufacturing security gates

CAIRO, Aug 22 (MENA) - Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim el-Tarass discussed with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the German company of Rohde & Schwarz Peter Riedel boosting joint cooperation.

The move falls within the framework of the state's national plan to expand the use of security gates and X-ray baggage scanners at all new smart facilities and cities.

The talks come in light of the directives President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the AOI on the transfer and settlement of technology in addition to expanding local manufacturing of the detection gates at the entrances of vital facilities in partnership with global expertise.

Fields of cooperation between the AOI and the German company include transferring technical experience and training of human cadres with the aim of deepening home manufacture and settlement of security gates technology in accordance with the international quality standards, Tarass said.

Both sides will also tackle frameworks of cooperation and partnership for establishing national factories to manufacture security gates for airports, ports, museums and vital and strategic places.

Meanwhile, Riedel lauded the experiences of the AOI and its industrial and human potentials.

Riedel asserted his company's readiness to open up further cooperation and partnership prospects with the AOI.
