The 4th Portfolio Egypt Conference 2019, organized by Al-Mal GTM, which is entitled “Opportunities Blunted by Risks” will begin tomorrow at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo with the participation of more than 500 firms, investment banks and businessmen.

The conference is opened by both Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr and Minister of Public Enterprises Hesham Tawfik.

Among major participants are: Mohsen Adel, Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAF), Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange and Reda Abdel Moaty, Deputy Chairman of Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

The conference examines opportunities for non-banking financial activities, which have become one of the most salient investment destinations at the current phase. This is manifested in attempts to expand existing entities, and the emergence of new operators as well as introducing legislation and regulations, which enhance opportunities for growth.

A wide range of senior officials of investment banks, insurance and non-banking financial services firms as well as listed companies on the Egyptian Exchange will speak in the conference.

Keynote speakers include: Mona Zulficar, chairperson of the Egyptian Federation of Microfinance, Sherif Samy, Chairman of National Asset Management and Investment Company, Basel Al-Hini, Chairman of Misr Insurance Holding Company, Gamal Muharram, Chairman of the Egyptian Factoring Association, Mostafa Gad, Co-Head of Investment Banking at EFG, Fadel Marzouk, Deputy Chairman of Giza Spinning and Weaving, Radi El Helw, Managing Director, Arqaam Capital, Rana Adawi, Chairperson of Acumen Asset Management and Mohamed Aboulghait, Head of Investment Banking at Pioneers Holding.
