CAIRO – 15 November 2018: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended last session of the week in a mixed performance, and market capitalization won LE 6.72 billion, amid Arab selling.

The benchmark EGX30 rose 1.44 percent, or 194.47 points, to close at 13,681.67 points.

The equally weighted index EGX50 hiked 0.60 percent, or 12.95 points, to reach 2,182.98 points, and the broader index EGX100 increased 0.12 percent, or 2.1 points, to close at 1,735.88 points.

On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 dropped 0.06 percent, or 0.43 points, reaching 695.04 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 6.72 billion, recording LE 779.66 billion, compared to LE 772.94 billion in Wednesday’s session.

The trading volume reached 224.21 million shares, traded through 23,835 transactions, with a turnover of LE 881.61 million.

Arab investors were net sellers at LE 101.03 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 23.06 and LE 77.96 million, respectively.

Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 21.12 million, and LE 4.66 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 2.55 million.

Arab organizations sold at LE 96.37 million, while Egyptian and foreign organizations bought at LE 44.18 million and LE 75.41 million, respectively.

Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation, Cairo Pharmaceuticals, and Al Tawfeek Leasing Company were top gainers of the session by 10 percent, 7.73 percent and 6.19 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Arab Aluminum, Dice Sport & Casual Wear, and Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance were top losers of the session by 6.76 percent, 6.24 percent, and 4.09 percent, respectively.

The EGX ended Wednesday’s session in red, as EGX30 lessened 0.42 percent, EGX50 declined 0.63 percent, EGX70 decreased 0.23 percent, and EGX100 inched down 0.36 percent.
