NEW YORK - 25 September 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met on Monday evening at his New York residence with members of the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and a number of prominent and influential decision-makers in the United States over a dinner banquet.

The president had a series of meetings earlier on the sidelines of his participation in the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly that included a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde who lauded Egypt's economic reform efforts over the last period and the bold steps and reforms the Egyptian government has made to push the development process forward, redress the budget deficit and reduce inflation rates in addition to other positive economic indicators which were achieved over a record time.

Also, Sisi conferred with his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun on means of boosting relations between the two nations, the latest developments in the Middle East and the vision of both on ways to end the pain and suffering of peoples in conflict-hit sisterly Arab countries.

He met as well with Prime Ministers Boyko Borisov of Bulgaria and Erna Solberg of Norway.
