CAIRO - 20 July 2018: The World Bank (WB) is keen on being a real partner of Egypt through offering full support for the country's development projects that meet the needs of citizens, especially the most needy segments, World Bank Middle East and North Africa Vice President Ferid Belhaj said.

Belhaj hailed Egypt's economic reform program as well as legislation that contributed to enhancing the business and investment climate.

He praised security and stability prevailing across the country, as one of the factors that helped bolster the trust of investors.

The WB official made the remarks during his meeting with Egypt's Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr, currently on a visit to Washington, in the presence of Dean of the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank Mirza Hassan, a statement by the Investment Ministry said on Friday.

The meeting tackled Egypt's ambitious development strategy that seeks improving the living standards of citizens and enhancing public services.

Backing Egypt's infrastructure, small and medium sized enterprises, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion were among topics that figured high during the meeting, the statement added.
