CAIRO – 17 March 2018: The East Port Said port has a wharf of 2,400 meters, with investment of LE 1.8 billion, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said Saturday.

Mamish’s comments came during the inspection of a number of projects in eastern Port Said, in the presence of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

He said that dredging works in East Port Said is 81 percent complete and it would be finsihed in September.

He added that the authority is working to improve the one-stop-shop service and facilitate the issuance of permits as well as resolving investments disputes in the economic zone.

Mamish said that a new study is underway to establish a side canal in East Port Said.
President Sisi on Saturday inspected several major projects in eastern Port Said region.

The projects include a sea port, an industrial zone and fish farms, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi in press statements.

The inspection tour comes as part of tours made by the president nationwide to follow up on the implementation of development projects, Radi said.
