CAIRO - 3 February 2018: Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Kabil met Saturday with Croatia's Ambassador to Egypt Tomislav Bošnjak to discuss means of boosting economic cooperation.

The meeting also tackled means by which to increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investments, Kabil said in a statement.

He hailed as "close" relations between Cairo and Zagreb at the political and economic levels.

It is important to benefit from Croatian know-how in many fields, Kabil said.

He talked about big chances to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, which are blessed with distinguished geographic locations in Africa and Europe.

Egypt can also serve as Croatia's gateway to many Arab and Africa markets, the minister noted.

The volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to some 150 million euros in 2017.
