CAIRO - 18 December 2017: Egypt's agricultural exports increased by 3.4 percent to hit $1.9 billion from January to November of 2017 compared with the corresponding period of 2016, according to the Agricultural Exports Council on Monday.

According to statement to MENA, head of the council Abdel Hamid el Demerdash said agricultural exports make up 10 percent of Egypt's non-petroleum exports totaling $20.28 billion.

In 11 months, citrus exports hit 523.23 million dollars while potato exports were estimated at $270.38 million.

Onion and garlic exports hit 215.54 million dollars while fruit exports totaled $335.03 million.

Vegetables exports hit 118.34 million dollars.

Russia tops Egypt's agricultural importers to be followed by Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, Britain, North Ireland and the UAE.
