CAIRO – 8 December 2017: “We pursue the efforts that were started last year for developing our African continent and for the wishes and inspirations of our people,” President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said on Friday during his speech in second day opening session of the Africa 2017 Forum.

He stated that Egyptian investments in Africa amounted to more than $1 billion during 2016 and $9 billion cumulatively, which has created thousands of jobs for youths.

The second day of the Africa 2017 Forum launched this morning; a deal between the Attijariwafa Bank and The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is expected.

President Sisi launched the official opening of the forum, along with Alpha Condé, president of the Republic of Guinea, Paul Kagame, president of the Republic of Rwanda and Alassane Ouattara, president of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
