CAIRO – 7 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Thursday in red for the fourth day in a row due to profit making.

Benchmark index EGX30 went down 0.35 percent to stand at 14,294 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 decreased 0.76 percent to end at 767.55 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled down 0.32 percent to close at 1,810 points.

Market capitalization declined LE 5.2 billion as it recorded LE 788.706 billion, down from LE 793.931 billion at the end of transactions Wednesday..

As for the nationalities of transactions, Egyptian and foreign institutions were net sellers at LE 6.9 million and LE 65.6 million, meanwhile, Egyptian, Arab and foreign individuals, in addition to Arab institutions were net buyers at LE 36.3 million, LE 19.3 million, LE 10.1 million and LE 6.9 million respectively.

Shares of 42 companies recorded increases, while 118 others saw declines, while, shares of 30 firms remained unchanged.
