Sisi approves laws on nuclear power plants

CAIRO – 30 November 2017:President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Wednesday approved the law no 209 of 2017 on setting up an executive body to monitor projects of nuclear power plants.

Also, he gave his final approval to the law no. 2010 of 2017 to amend some provisions of the law no. 13 of 1976 on establishing the National Power Plants Authority (NPPA).

A third law no. 2011 of 2017 to amend some provisions of the law no. 7 of 2010 with regard to regulating nuclear and radiological activities was also okayed by President Sisi.

The three laws were published in the official gazette today.
