EGX indexes close at mixed note, market capital down LE3B

CAIRO – 11 October 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday in mixed note, as benchmark EGX30 inched down 0.06 percent at the end of the trading session to stand at 13,816 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 hiked 1 percent to end at 807 points. The broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.41 percent to close at 1,792 points.

Market capitalization declined LE 3 billion Tuesday to LE 768.631 billion compared to LE 771.645 billion in the latest session Tuesday.

Arab and foreign institutions have recorded net sales of LE 21.6 million and LE 70.8 million, while Arab, foreign and Egyptian individuals as well as Egyptian institutions registered purchases of LE 27.6 million, LE 47.5 million, LE 7.8 million and LE 9.6 million respectively.

Shares of 91 companies recorded increases and 75 companies marked declines, while shares of 24 firms remained unchanged.
