CAIRO - 11 October 2017: Petroleum Minister Tarek El-Molla discussed on Wednesday with Chief Executive Officer of the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP) Ahmed Attiga the current projects carried out by the company in Egypt in the petrochemical and natural gas domains.

Talks covered the available investment opportunities between the ministry and the company.

In a statement, the minister underlined the importance of stepping up cooperation between the ministry and the company in light of APICORP's financing capabilities that enable it to contribute to several underway projects in Egypt and increase its investments in the Egyptian market.

APICORP chairman said the company is interested in studying the current projects launched by the petroleum ministry to get into a long-term partnership with the petroleum sector in Egypt.

APICORP was created by the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in 1975 as a commercially-focused financial institution that can help provide nuanced and efficient financing options to the Arab energy industry.
