CAIRO - 13 September 2017: Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Mohab Mamish said five deals were signed with Germany’s Bavarian company to establish five factories in East Port Said Industrial Zone.

The factories will be set up on an area of 40,000 square meters, Mamish said, indicating that works would start as of the beginning of 2018, the SCZone general authority said in a Wednesday statement.

The factories are set to manufacture tractors, buses, iron doors and iron locks, he added.

Mamish, who is currently on a five-day visit to Germany, emphasized that such deals would contribute to creating job opportunities, luring direct foreign investments and improving the SCZone’s word ranking.
