CAIRO – 1 August 2017: Dubai Ports- Sokhna (DP World) launched corporate sustainability program for 11 projects in Suez and Ain Sokhna, the Emirati company said Tuesday.

The project, which will focus on the sectors of health, education, water and social welfare, will serve a total number of 7,500 citizens, CEO of DP World-Sokhna Ajay Singh said in a Tuesday statement.

Coming as a cooperation between the Emirati company, the Egyptian government and Suez governorate, DP World-Sokhna will work on the project in the period between August and December 2017.

"Corporate sustainability is at the heart of our business in countries and regions where we operate and we firmly believe that public-private partnerships are the key to achieving tangible development for local people and their communities,” Singh noted.

The initiative will include upgrading schools, establishing water infrastructure, distributing food items for families and securing job opportunities for beneficiaries.
