Bourse trading closes in the green zone on Sunday

Cairo – March 9, 2025: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started the second week of March trading firmly in the green, closing the session with a market cap. of LE 2.2892 trillion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 climbed by 0.59 percent to close at 31,130.68 points, with the Shariah index surging by 0.82 percent to 3,323.56 points.

EGX 70 was also up by 0.86 percent to reach 8,623.19 points, followed by EGX 100 jumping by 0.97 percent to end the session with 11,983.17 points.

Sunday trading saw over 1.389 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 5.806 billion.

Trading on securities reported Egyptian investors as net sellers with LE 53.77 million. Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with LE 40.26 million and LE 13.51 million, respectively.

The top gains of the session were by International Agricultural Products which surged by 20 percent, and Universal For Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) by 19.9 percent, and Asek Company for Mining – Ascom by 17.95 percent.
