CAIRO – 8 August 2024: President AbdelFattah El-Sisi recently led a meeting to oversee the progress of the National Industry Strategy’s implementation.
The session encompassed a detailed presentation on the strategy’s key components and stages, designed to swiftly enhance the industrial sector and fully leverage existing industrial capabilities.
Attending the meeting were Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib.
El-Sisi is actively monitoring the execution of the national industry strategy, emphasizing the paramount importance of advancing the industrial sector promptly.
He has instructed a thorough examination of challenges faced by struggling factories and the pursuit of innovative solutions to ensure their sustainability, safeguarding both investments and workers’ rights.
The President is abreast of the government’s vision and the ministerial group for industrial development, with a focus on maximizing Egypt’s industrial capabilities through robust cooperation and partnerships with the private sector.
He stresses the critical nature of striving to position Egypt as a key regional and global industrial hub, diligently addressing all hindrances and complexities in this endeavor.
President El-Sisi highlights the significance of localizing promising industries in Egypt, promoting technology transfer, and endorsing training initiatives to propel industrial growth.
