CAIRO - 26 February 2023: Sinai’s share of the fourth generation cities and development is four new cities that accommodate 50,000 housing units at a cost of LE18 billion, which can accommodate 1.5 million people in its early stages, according to the Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouli.
 
“We have already started the constructions of the four cities,” Madbouli said during his speech on the line-up of the equipment participating in the implementation of the state plan for the development and reconstruction of Sinai, Sunday.
 
He noted that the next phase of the new Bir al-Abd area will be commenced.
 
The premier pointed out that the new city of Ismailia is considered a jewel in the east of the canal and was implemented by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority at the highest level and has 33 units with all services, in addition to Salam city, east of Port Said, whose first phase is operating at the highest level, in addition to the new city of Rafah.
 
He touched on the level of basic services, where there was interest in people and how to develop Egyptians in Sinai, in addition to that at the level of schools and pre-university education, 151 basic education schools were established and developed, so that they serve more than 168 thousand students, and no more than 29 students per class. .
 
Madbouli pointed out that there was interest in introducing advanced schools that provide a distinguished educational service, such as the Egyptian-Japanese school model, which has become present in all cities of Sinai at the present time, whether in Al-Tur, New Ismailia, Arish or Sharm El-Sheikh, language schools in Arish, technical education schools, and vocational schools, and provide a level of education at all levels for the people of Sinai.
