Egypt’s Planning Minister, Orange Group discuss expanding investments

CAIRO – 15 December 2022: Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said met this week with Chief Executive Officer of Orange Group Christel Heydemann to discuss upgrading the company's telecommunication infrastructure.

Heydemann pointed out that the planned step would result in better serving customers, and that the decision is the outcome of the government's endeavors to improve the investment climate in the country.   

 

In that context, the planning minister displayed structural reforms, priorities of the treasury's expenditure, and indicators of the growth of the Egyptian economy in the first half of FY2022/23.  

 

Similarly, Minister El Said presented the ongoing work pertinent to technology localization, renewable energy, asset development, and attracting foreign partnerships and investments through The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE).

 

The minister also underscored that Egypt's economic growth is projected for 5 percent in the current fiscal year. She further highlighted the positive prospects on unemployment and inflation, and the government's plans to deal with economic crises.
