CAIRO - 13 December 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday session with 2.9 percent increase in the benchmark index EGX30, reaching a total of 15150 points
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased by 2.72 percent, while the broader index EGX100 EWI increased by 3.41 percent.
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 374.9 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers at LE 313.5 million and LE 61.4 million respectively.
Market capitalization gained around LE 26.11 billion, recording LE 970.95 billion, compared to LE 944.84 billion in Monday’s session.
The trading volume reached 1.64 billion shares, traded through 103,731 transactions, with a turnover of LE 3.69 billion.
Suez Canal Company for Technology Settling, Oriental Weavers, and Cairo Pourtly were top gainers of the session at 19.99 percent, 17 percent and 16.90 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Nasr Company for Civil Works, Misr Hotels, and Kafr El Zayat Pesticides were top losers of the session by 4.64 percent, 2.83 percent, and 2.77 percent, respectively.
Notably, Monday session ended with 0.93 percent increase, reaching 14723 points.
