EGX ends mid-week session in green, market cap. gains LE 7.24B

CAIRO –  6 December 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended the third session of the week in the green zone, adding around LE 7.24 billion to the market capitalization, amid Egyptian and Arab purchases.
  
The benchmark EGX30 increased 1.19 percent, or 170.52 points, to end at 14,498.29 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 1.24 percent, or 30.11 points, to end at 2,453.24 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.53 percent, or 14.06 points, to close at 2,667.68 points, and the broader index EGX 100 inched up 0.86 percent, or 33.42 points, at 3,931.56 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 7.24 billion, recording LE 931.13 billion, compared to LE 924.11 billion in Monday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 899.75 million shares, traded through 81,741 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.6 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 184.64 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 35.33 million, and LE 149.3 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian and Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 103.12 million, and LE 8.45 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 7.69 million.
 
Egyptian and foreign organizations sold at LE 67.78 million, and LE 176.94 million, respectively, while Arab organizations bought at LE 140.85 million.
 
Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical, Upper Egypt Flour Mills, and Alexandria Pharmaceuticals were top gainers of the session at 19.98 percent, 19.63 percent and 9.85 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Maridive & oil services, Development & Engineering Consultants, and El Wadi for International and Investment Development were top losers of the session by 6.84 percent, 6.37 percent, and 4.98 percent, respectively
