CAIRO - 8 November 2022: German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that his expectations for the future are that there will be a point when all government projects and the business sector will switch to using green hydrogen as a primary source.
"The time has come now to increase the use of green hydrogen, and to study how it is a cheaper source of energy production," he said during his participation in a session at the COP27, which is held in Sharm el-Sheikh.
In his speech at the "Investing in the Energy Future... Green Hydrogen" session on the sidelines of the climate conference with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the German Chancellor added that there is a greater opportunity than ever to produce green hydrogen and transfer its basic technology.
The German chancellor added, "We must now start producing green hydrogen to bridge the energy gap, and encourage increased confidence in clean energy investments.
