SCZONE will announce the first green fuel production within the coming hours

Within the framework of the effective steps taken by the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) to accelerate the pace of work on green fuel production projects; SCZONE will announce its first green ammonia production within the coming hours in Sokhna industrial zone.

The announcement is coming coinciding with the proceedings of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (cop 27) in Sharm El-sheik. SCZONE’s pavilion in the Green Zone also witnessed the presence of the Egyptian prime minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sameh Shoukry, the Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mohamed Shaker Al-Marqabi, Minister of Solidarity, Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, and The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi.

This success of SCZONE in this field comes as a result of signing 16 MOUs with major international companies, as SCZONE has a qualified infrastructure that supports these projects. SCZONE also has 4 industrial zones and 6 seaports overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the red sea.
 
SCZONE’s strategy towards localizing the green hydrogen industry is based on 3 main pillars, which are the manufacture of green fuels from (green hydrogen - green ammonia - emethanol), the feeding industries of the green hydrogen industries (electrolyzers - solar panels - turbines) and the ships bunkering services with green fuel through its affiliated ports.

It is worth to be mentioned that SCZONE participates in the Green Zone area within the New Republic Pavilion, which includes Egyptian ministries, agencies, and authorities. SCZONE presents its vision for the transformation towards a green economy with the help of the success partners, for instance, “DP World Sokhna – Port Said Development Company – El Sewedy Industrial Development – The Egyptian National Railways Industry Company – Orientals Industrial Development Company – Sokhna 360 – Sonker – Suez Development Company Industrial".
