CAIRO – 14 September 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday session in the red zone, losing around LE 11.58 billion of the market capitalization, amid foreign organization selling.
 
The benchmark EGX30 declined 1.96 percent, or 203.33 points, to end at 10,193.79 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 dipped 1.68 percent, or 33.09 points, to end at 1,938.47 points.
 
Furthermore, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 declined 1.34 percent, or 30.96 points, to close at 2,271.77 points, and the broader index EGX 100 dipped 1.52 percent, or 49.85 points, at 3,239.37 points.
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 11.58 billion, recording LE 701.65 billion, compared to LE 713.24 billion in Tuesday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 629.04 million shares, traded through 59,283 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.73 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 15.73 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 20.97 million, and LE 5.25 million, respectively.
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 4.35 million, and LE 4.61 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 4.61 million.
 
Egyptian, Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 71.46 million, LE 899,614, and LE 11.12 million, respectively.
 
Lecico Egypt, Raya Holding for Financial Investments, and Arab Valves Company were top gainers of the session at 15.54 percent, 12.25 percent and 7.41 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, the Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy - Panda, Orascom Development Egypt, and Samad Misr -EGYFERT were top losers of the session by 9.69 percent, 7.03 percent, and 6.82 percent, respectively.
 
EGX ended Tuesday on a mixed note, as: EGX30 declined 0.35 percent, EGX 50 dipped 0.14 percent, while EGX 70 hiked 0.55 percent, and EGX 100 climbed 0.29 percent.
