EGX ends Sunday in green, market cap. gains LE8.43B

CAIRO – 11 September 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) traded in the green zone during Sunday’s session, adding around LE 8.43 billion to the market capitalization, amid Egyptian purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.89 percent, or 90.96 points, to end at 10,356.31 points.
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 0.75 percent, or 14.78 points, to end at 1,975.29 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.61 percent, or 13.78 points, to close at 2,287.96 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 0.61 percent, or 20.01 points, at 3,276.18 points.
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 8.43 billion, recording LE 711.01 billion, compared to LE 702.58  billion in Thursday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 593.48 million shares, traded through 53,374 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.18 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 82.01 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 49.77 million, and LE 32.24 million, respectively.
 
Egyptian and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 52.77 million, and LE 9.65 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 12.99 million.
 
Arab and foreign organisations sold at LE 36.77 million, and LE 41.89 million, respectively, while Egyptian organisations bought at LE 29.24 million.
 
EL Ezz Aldekhela Steel - Alexandria, Odin for Investment & Development, and Taaleem Management Services were top gainers of the session at 20  percent, 15.78 percent and 12.18 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Zahraa Maadi Investment & Development, General Silos & Storage, and Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment were top losers of the session by 4.97 percent, 4.52 percent, and 4.32 percent, respectively.
