CAIRO –  20 April 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s session on a mixed note, losing around LE 4.09 billion of market capitalization, amid Egyptian and foreign selling.
 
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 dipped 1.71 percent, or 182.05 points, to end at 10,444.76 points.
 
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 dropped 0.33 percent, or 5.91 points, to end at 1,796.03 points. 
 
 
On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 jumped 1.21 percent, or 20.89 points, to close at 1,748 points, and the broader index EGX 100 increased 0.56 percent, or 14.89 points, to close at 2,667.04 points.
 
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 4.09 billion, recording LE 680.28 billion, compared to LE 684.37 billion in Tuesday’s session.
 
 
 
The trading volume reached 189.45 million shares, traded through 25,550 transactions, with a turnover of LE 579.75 million.
 
 
 Arab investors were net buyers at LE 6.54 billion, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 6.54 billion, and LE 10.53 million, respectively.
 
 
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 13.65 million, and LE 604,069, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net sellers at LE 33.53 million.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 26.99 billion, and LE 3.42 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 11.13 billion.
 
 
 
Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co, El Shams Housing & Urbanization, and El Kahera Housing were top gainers of the session at 19.96 percent, 19.62 percent and 17.55 percent, respectively.
 
 
 
Meanwhile, Egyptian Financial & Industrial, Egyptian International Pharmaceuticals (EIPICO), and Telecom Egypt were top losers of the session by 8.46 percent, 6.44 percent, and 6.38 percent, respectively.
