CAIRO –  13 April 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday on a mixed note, losing around LE 1.29 billion of market capitalization, amid foreign selling.
 
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 declined 0.47 percent, or 51.23 points, to end at 10,847.46 points.
 
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 inched down 0.07 percent, or 1.34 points, to end at 1,862.92 points. 
 
 
On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.25 percent, or 4.58 points, to close at 1,814.2 points, and the broader index EGX 100 inched up 0.09 percent, or 2.39 points, to close at 2,767.05 points.
 
 
Market capitalization lost around LE 1.26 billion, recording LE 702.8 billion, compared to LE 704.06 billion in Tuesday’s session.
 
 
 
The trading volume reached 157.15 million shares, traded through 28,180 transactions, with a turnover of LE 764.58 million.
 
 
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 64.2 billion, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 15.94 billion, and LE 48.26 million, respectively.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 38.41 million, and LE 2.36 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 500,123.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 54.35 billion, and LE 50.63 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 64.7 billion.
 
 
 
Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment, Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co., and El Arabia Engineering Industries  were top gainers of the session at 12.97 percent, 8.12 percent and 6.23 percent, respectively.
 
 
 
Meanwhile, Egyptian Transport (EGYTRANS), Aspire Capital Holding for Financial Investments, and Electro Cable Egypt were top losers of the session by 7.68 percent, 4.40 percent, and 4.19 percent, respectively.
 
 
On Tuesday, EGX ended trading on a mixed note, EGX30 rose 1.58 percent,  EGX 50 hiked 0.77 percent, the broader index EGX 100 increased 0.35 percent, or 9.51 points, while EGX 70 inched down 0.05 percent.
