CAIRO - 1 March 2022: Brent crude exceeded the level of $100 a barrel, six days after Russia announced its military attack against Ukraine, according to media reports.

The Russian forces have continued their military operation on Ukrainian land since last Thursday, for the sixth consecutive day, which made a large number of countries in the world impose significant economic sanctions on Moscow, in addition to placing Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the lists of Penalties.

In an open session of the UN Security Council on Ukraine, UN Humanitarian Affairs Under-Secretary Martin Griffiths said that the military operations have displaced hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians so far, appealing to the warring parties to respect humanitarian law.
