CAIRO – 15 November 2021: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday in red, losing around LE 14.86 billion of market capitalization, amid foreign selling.

  

The benchmark EGX30 dropped 1.43 percent, or 166.36 points, to end at 11,496.63 points.

 

The equally weighted index EGX 50 dipped 2.41 percent, or 49.58 points, to end at 2,004.36 points.

 

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 lessened 3.23 percent, or 71.02 points, to close at 2,129.65 points, and the broader index EGX100 descended 2.57 percent, or 81.94 points, to close at 3,106.04 points.
 

 

Market capitalization lost around LE 14.86 billion, recording LE 719.84 billion, compared to LE 734.69 billion in Sunday’s session.

 

The trading volume reached 269.13 million shares, traded through 41,621 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.02 billion.

 

Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 68.79 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 48.51 million, and LE 20.28 million, respectively.

 

Egyptian and Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 27.59 million, and LE 8.72 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 2.55 million.

 

Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 20.91 million, and LE 11.57 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 66.24 million.

 

Tenth Of Ramadan Pharmaceutical Industries & Diagnostic-Rameda, Egyptian Iron & Steel, and Arab Real Estate Investment CO.-ALICO were top gainers of the session at 5.50 percent, 4.76 percent and 2.90 percent, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, North Cairo Mills, El Kahera Housing, and the Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy – Panda were top losers of the session by 19.98 percent, 19.98 percent, and 19.94 percent, respectively.
